The Churchill Family Scholarship Fund at the Maine Community Foundation underwrites an annual scholarhsip for a Maine high-school senior girl pursuing a college degree in vocal music education or performance.  The scholarship is awarded based on the results of a vocal music competition held in the spring.  Created in 2004 in memory of music educators Luther and Priscilla Churchill, the fund is supported through private and corporate donations and special events, and will present its first scholarship in spring 2006.  Members of the Musica de Filia choirs for girls and women originated the fund.
