Performances
All of the choirs of Musica de Filia perform in a December holiday concert and in a May springtime concert. Other performance opportunities are likely during the year as well. Please note that in the past, the Concert and Chamber Choirs tend to perform more often than the younger girls in the Lyric and Apprentice Choirs. The Lyric and Apprentice singers have a school tour annually in May. Girls are expected to give attendance at Musica de Filia concerts top priority in their personal calendars! We are a team, and our Director believes that each and every player is important.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Musica de Filia is a full-academic-year program. Tuition is due in September and again in January, $225 each semester for Concert and Chamber Choirs, and $200 each semester for Lyric, Apprentice and Women's Choirs. We offer a family discount of $20 per semester off for the second family member participating, and $30 per semester off for the third family member.
A monthly payment plan is available for an additional $10.00 per semester administration fee.
Payment by credit card, cash, personal check or money order should be made to Musica de Filia. Payment can be made at rehearsals or mailed to 550 Forest Avenue LL5, Portland, ME 04101.
Registration is not considered complete without payment.
Girls can not participate beyond the second rehearsal without registration.
Refunds will not be available after the first 3 rehearsals attended.
Uniforms are required for most choirs, and cost $50-$80 dollars.
A limited amount of need-based scholarship aid is available. Please phone Cyndy Chaney at 807-2158 to discuss applying as soon as possible, so that your registration will not be delayed.
